Dr. Jefferson began her academic journey at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. Her love for science and passion for women’s health inspired her to continue her education at Johns Hopkins, where she attained a Master’s degree in Biotechnology.

Following her graduate studies, Dr. Jefferson attended the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she excelled as a medical student. She was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and the MUSC Student Leadership Society and was recognized with the American Medical Association Foundation's Physicians of Tomorrow Award. Upon earning her Doctorate in Medicine, she was honored as a MUSC Presidential Scholar for her commitment to the field of medicine.

After medical school, Dr. Jefferson completed a rigorous general surgery residency in East Tennessee, where she contributed to several research projects and publications, earning the Surgical Scholar Research Award. She then pursued fellowship training in Cosmetic Surgery in Nashville, Tennessee.
